Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and identify their needs through active listening and engaging conversation
- Assist customers in selecting products, explaining features, and providing recommendations based on their preferences
- Process transactions accurately using retail math skills, including cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations
- Manage cash register operations, including cash management, balancing tills, and handling returns or exchanges
- Support loan processing or financial services transactions when applicable, ensuring compliance with company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, stock shelves, and ensure product displays are attractive and well-stocked
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Familiarity with banking or financial services environments is a plus, especially related to cash handling or loan processing
- Basic math skills including retail math, 10 key typing proficiency, and the ability to perform calculations quickly and accurately
- Knowledge of financial software systems used for transactions or account management is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain products clearly and build rapport with diverse customers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work flexible hours as needed
