Duties
- Efficiently clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients following established recipes and safety protocols.
- Support meal assembly and presentation by preparing ingredients and assisting with plating as directed by culinary staff.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including dishwashers, slicers, mixers, and other small appliances.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by adhering to strict sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food prep and ensure timely service delivery.
- Follow all food safety guidelines related to handling, storage, and temperature control to prevent contamination.
Requirements
- Prior experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is preferred but not mandatory; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
