Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Caregiver to join our team and provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately in care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption to promote proper nutrition.
- Support medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols to ensure proper patient care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and organizing personal spaces in compliance with health standards.
- Provide personal transportation assistance for medical appointments, errands, or community outings to promote social engagement and independence.
- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care and address individual needs with empathy and professionalism.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), hospice care, and neurodevelopmental disorders is advantageous.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as Hoyer lift training or medication administration are a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with patient transfers using proper manual handling methods.
- Strong communication skills for client interaction, documentation, and team collaboration while maintaining confidentiality under HIPAA guidelines.
- Experience working in group home settings, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is desirable.
- Flexibility to work part-time hours with a positive attitude focused on providing compassionate patient-centered support.

Pay: $19.00 - $19.50 per hour
