Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
- Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by executing floor care and janitorial tasks efficiently
- Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures
- Ensure all sanitation standards are met consistently to promote a safe and hygienic environment for guests and staff
- Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns related to housekeeping services with excellent customer service skills
- Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety at all times
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience in a hotel or industrial cleaning setting is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, including floor care and maintenance of cleaning equipment
- Experience handling chemical agents safely and effectively in a hospitality environment
- Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and safety protocols such as SDS compliance and hotel emergency procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining safety standards
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping roles is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate
