About this position:
Training will be primarily full time with 8-hour shifts ranging from 6 am to 4 pm, Sundays and Mondays off. Once trained you will may enjoy part-time hours, with differing days and shifts. We need someone who can be flexible and fill in when someone else needs pre-planned time off or calls out sick in addition to your scheduled hours. Sometimes when we're busier, you'll get many more hours, and the next time we hire you'll have the first opportunity to take a full time position.

Your Duties: you will be trained on everything
· Greet and assist customers in a friendly and authentic manner
· Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately
· Provide information about menu items and make recommendations
· Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the cafe, both behind the counter and in the dining room
· Support entire team as needed
· Barista and other beverage creation
· Food handling: Making sandwiches and salads to order; heating other items as necessary; handing out pastries, cookies, etc
· Idea generating, problem solving and taking accountability for the customer experience
· Washing dishes and other cleaning chores
Probationary Period:
Your initial two weeks will be an introduction, followed by a 60-day probationary period. During this time, both you and the company will evaluate each other to ensure a good fit. Successful completion of this period will lead to discussions on your progress and future goals.
Work Environment:
We operate a drug-free and smoke-free business and follow CDC recommended COVID-19 precautions during outbreaks in the community and infections within our 4 walls, including: PPE requirements, temperature screenings, and social distancing. We always have remote initial interviews, ongoing sanitizing procedures, and mandatory vaccinations for incoming staff.
