Midwest Metal Products currently has a Shakeout and Melt & Pour position available on our third shift.
Candidate will work independently in our shakeout process. This is the process of extracting cooled castings from the sand mold. Forklift, Skid steer, and overhead crane experience required.
Position will also include shot blasting of castings after shakeout. Must be able to lift 50-60 pounds fairly frequently. Employee will be trained in all needed skills.
Melt & Pour consists of operating a manual pouring ladle to fill sand molds with molten steel and iron. They will also assist in the setup of molds to prepare for the pouring operation. This position is part of a two-person team that handles pouring ladles at MMP. Some tolerance for short duration of radiated heat is necessary to be successful in doing this job, protective clothing is provided by MMP for the operator

Starting pay $18.00-$20.00 hour based on experience.
