Duties
- Lead and supervise social service program staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery and adherence to organizational policies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate programs tailored to meet the needs of individuals experiencing homelessness and those with disabilities and other barriers.
- Manage relationships with community partners, government agencies, and stakeholders to coordinate services effectively.
- Oversee program budgets, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with funding requirements and regulations.
- Provide training and mentorship to staff on topics such as behavioral health, client communication, social services best practices, and cultural competency.
- Maintain accurate documentation, prepare reports, and communicate program outcomes clearly to leadership and funding bodies.
- HMIS and CalAim leadership
- Ensure all services comply with legal standards, ethical guidelines, and organizational policies related to social work and disability services.
Experience
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs in a social services setting.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing teams of social service professionals or program staff, including supervising staff supervision activities.
- Strong relationship management skills with community organizations, government agencies, and clients from underserved communities.
- Extensive administrative experience including budgeting, program development, compliance monitoring, and report writing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation, communication, and data analysis purposes.
- Technical project management experience overseeing program initiatives from conception through implementation.
- Bilingual abilities are highly desirable to effectively serve diverse populations.
- Prior experience working within social services or healthcare environments that emphasize client-centered care and inclusive practices.
Minimum Requirements:
· At least 2 years of experience working in shelter management highly preferred including successfully managing and coaching staff
· Knowledge of social services and social repercussions relating to homelessness
· Possess crisis intervention and crisis assessment skills
· Current driver’s license and insurance.
· Must be insurable under company policy
· Excellent written & oral communication skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
