We are looking to add another experienced line cook to our team as we grow. Specifically responsible for salads, appetizers and possibly gluten free pizzas. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow food safety protocols diligently, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools through regular cleaning routines
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service
- Support food industry best practices by adhering to safety standards during all stages of food production
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods
- Knowledge of culinary techniques, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience with dietary department or dietary aide roles is a plus
- Understanding of food safety management principles and food handling regulations
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members
