Job Title: Tow Truck Operator
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Tow Truck Operator to provide vehicle towing, roadside assistance, and recovery services. The ideal candidate will have excellent driving skills, strong customer service abilities, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Tow Truck Operators respond to service calls, transport vehicles safely, and assist stranded motorists while maintaining a professional and courteous attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate flatbed, wheel-lift, and/or heavy-duty tow trucks safely and efficiently.
- Respond promptly to dispatch calls for towing, roadside assistance, and vehicle recovery services.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload vehicles according to company and industry safety standards.
- Provide roadside services such as jump-starts, tire changes, lockout assistance, and fuel delivery.
- Complete required paperwork, inspection reports, and service documentation accurately.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding job status and location updates.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal traffic laws and regulations.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while assisting motorists in stressful situations.
- Keep tow trucks and equipment clean, organized, and in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required, depending on truck type).
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a motor vehicle record check.
- Previous towing, transportation, or commercial driving experience preferred.
- Knowledge of vehicle recovery techniques and towing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.

Reports To: Operations Manager / Dispatch Supervisor
Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Pay Range: $18–$30 per hour (based on experience, certifications, and location) we also offer commison based pay
Pay: $600.00 - $1,300.00 per week
