What You'll Do
- Fabricate, lay out, position, align, and fit metal products according to customer requirements
- Interpret and work from complex blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications
- Utilize a variety of fabrication and welding equipment including:
- TIG Welders
- MIG Welders
- Spot Welders
- PEM Press
- Bridgeport Vertical Mill
- Plate Roller
- Tubing Bender
- Pipe Coper
- Glass Bead Booth
- Small Blast Cabinets
- Turn Tables
- Determine proper welding processes and tooling requirements
- Inspect incoming materials and completed products
- Identify and document non-conforming materials or parts
- Maintain accurate job time and production records
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely
Qualifications
- 3+ years of metal fabrication and TIG/MIG welding experience
- Experience in a precision metal manufacturing environment
- Ability to perform sanitary and food-grade grinding techniques
- Strong blueprint reading and layout skills
- Advanced technical math skills
- Experience with flat pattern development
- Ability to identify and work with:
- Stainless Steel
- Carbon Steel
- Aluminum
- Experience using calipers, pin gauges, and precision measuring equipment
- Ability to accurately read a tape measure
- Certification in Metal Fabrication or a related technical program preferred
- Equivalent hands-on experience will be considered in lieu of formal education
