Overview
Rocket City Customs is seeking an experienced automotive electrical & restoration technician to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama.
We specialize in the restoration, service, and maintenance of classic cars and custom vehicles. The position involves automotive wiring, electrical troubleshooting, restoration assembly, and careful work around finished vehicles.
This is not dealership flat-rate work or production collision repair. Our projects require craftsmanship, patience, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair vehicle electrical systems
- Diagnose intermittent electrical faults and wiring issues
- Repair, modify, or replace complete and partial wiring harnesses
- Research wiring diagrams and electrical components
- Install electrical components, lighting, gauges, accessories, and related systems
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform careful final assembly of restored vehicles
- Install trim, interiors, glass, moldings, weatherstripping, and related components
- Align panels and components during assembly
- Work carefully around restored paint and finished vehicles
Requirements
- Automotive wiring and electrical experience
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical problems
- Ability to carefully disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and solve problems
- Professional attitude and dependability
- Careful workmanship is mandatory
Important
- All wiring repairs and connections must be properly soldered and heat shrinked (no crimp-only repairs)
- All paint and finished surfaces must be protected during work
- Damage to customer vehicles, paint, or interiors is unacceptable

Pay
Competitive hourly pay based on experience and skill level.
Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
