Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician assists with light maintenance of the property, internally and
externally, with the guest experience in mind. This position will be responsible for supporting
the housekeeping department as needed with stripping rooms, trash removal and other
duties. This position may interact with the guest regularly and must be personable,
professional and courteous always.
Duties and Responsibilities
Including, but not limited to:
1. Respond to requests from guests and all departments regarding light maintenance or
houseperson tasks.
2. Sweep and clean sidewalks and internal and external stairs as needed.
3. Complete trash removal daily and as needed throughout shift
4. Clear debris from parking garage, landscaping, and dumpster area daily and as needed
throughout shift
5. Assist with preventative maintenance throughout hotel which could include sanding,
painting, replacing lightbulbs, cleaning or replacing filters, door locks, ice machines, etc.
6. Daily walking of property and assigned guest rooms to determine further repair, aesthetic,
cleanliness & preventative maintenance needs
7. Remove trash and linens from rooms and room attendants’ carts
8. Deliver clean linens or other items to room attendants or storage closets
9. Clean public area bathrooms, mop floors
10. Assist in the unloading and storage of product deliveries
11. Check and clean elevators regularly
12. Assist guests with luggage handling upon request
13. Complete duties and confirm on daily checklist as assigned.
14. Practice safe work habits such as proper lifting, use of ladders and safe chemical
handling.
15. Various other duties assigned by Supervisor.

? Must have a strong work ethic and be continually productive without constant
