Job Title/Position: Branch Manager - Supervisor of Direct Care Services

JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The Branch Manager serves as the Supervisor of Home Care Services for the Vancouver office and is responsible for overseeing daily operations under the direction and supervision of the Administrator. This position ensures that clients receive high-quality home care services in a safe, respectful, and person-centered manner by supervising and monitoring direct care staff, coordinating client services, and ensuring compliance with individualized service plans, agency policies, and all applicable state and federal regulations. In the Administrator’s absence, the Branch Manager serves as the Administrator’s designated representative and assumes responsibility for the oversight of home care operations.
JOB FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and monitor direct care staff and clients in accordance with our agency policy and procedure and WAC 246-335-445.
- Maintain schedules for caregiver/clients. Position requires individuals to cover shifts occasionally.
- This position requires On-Call, as agency must be available during all hours in which clients are serviced; it may be solely for a period or can be shared for tasks that can be managed remotely for another WA location.
- Ensure that direct care staff have read and understand the client's care plan prior to providing services.
- Ensure that direct care staff receive ongoing training and support to provide quality services.
- Ensure that direct care staff maintain confidential client information.
- Monitor caregiver performance and document using the 30 & 90-day Quarterly monitoring Supervisory visit form for Caregivers, aiding in annual performance evaluations.
- Conduct interviews, hire, supervise, coach, and initiate disciplinary action when needed.
- Schedule, conduct, and attend regular Home Care P&P Summit Meetings to update policies and procedures related to Direct Care Services.
- May Develop and implement client-specific service plans in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- My Conduct regular home visits with clients and caregivers to assess the effectiveness and satisfaction of services, to ensure client needs are being met and confirm compliance with the care plan per WAC 246-335-445.6.
- Use home visits to monitor reporting of clients' changing needs and ensure all staff providing care to a client are aware of how to initiate emergency services according to agency policies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve home care services to ensure they are effective and meet the needs of clients per WAC 246-335-445.5.c.
- Use feedback from clients, direct care staff, and client representatives to identify areas for improvement and make changes to direct care services during Home Care P&P Summit Meeting.
- May conduct 6-month client reviews in accordance with agency policy.
- Additional Duties as needed.
- Develop and maintain referral relationships through proactive networking, community involvement, and relationship building to grow location clients and revenue.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 2. Minimum of two years' experience working in the health care field. In-home care or Home Health is preferred.
- Must have and maintain an HCA/CNA license.
- supervisor of direct care services must complete a minimum of ten hours of training annually.
- Self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrates excellent observation, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Shows the ability to organize and prioritize workload independently.
- Maintains a current CPR certification.
- Documentation of ability to work legally in the U.S.A.
- Current valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance.
Pay: $54,000.00 - $62,400.00 per year
