Center Star Sales & Service is looking for a skilled Mechanic to join our team. Must be able to assemble, maintain and repair small equipment (lawn mowers, trimmers, chainsaws etc.) An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail. They must be able to work on various equipment as well as follow all safety precautions. Must have own tools.
Responsibilities
- Inspect engines, transmissions, decks, belts, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues
- Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability
- Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner
- Replenish fluids and components of engines and equipment
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. unloading new equipment)
- Keep logs of work and report on issues
- Keep work areas clean
Skills
- Excellent knowledge of small engine equipment, including hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components
- Aptitude in using various tools
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices
- A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines
- Good communication skills
- Problem-solving ability
- Good physical strength and stamina
