Job Summary
Responsible for performing all types of maintenance and repair of all production and facility equipment. Interface with subcontractors in the repair of production and facility equipment. Specify and order re-quired repair parts and supplies. Reasonable accommodations may be made to ensure individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Installs electrical conduit, wiring, switching devices, controls, outlets, fixtures, motors, and other such equipment.
- Performs skilled maintenance activities including electrical, welding, construction, brazing, soldering, and plumbing.
- Tests, maintains, and evaluates equipment performance using instruments such as voltmeter, ohmmeters, pyrometers, pressure gages, micrometers and calipers.
- Ensures full compliance with all Agrati, Inc. and government Environmental Health & Safety standards, policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established environmental, health, safety, quality, and compliance standards.
- Follow procedures by which the teams/production technicians perform preventative maintenance activities. Perform, assist and work with technicians in the preventative maintenance activities of plant equipment.
- Interface with engineering, production and suppliers in the maintenance, fabrication, rebuilding and improvement of manufacturing equipment and facilities.
- Assist production in the definition of manufacturing methods, tooling and equipment.
- Follow procedures for shop floor housekeeping and 5S implementation. Assist teams in their continuous improvement efforts.
- Establish a minimum spare parts and supplies inventory. Assure the required spare parts are available and ready to install. Fabricate spare parts, as required.
- Facilitate compliance with Company safety, housekeeping, attendance policies and practices.
- Ability to obtain mobile equipment certification and operate equipment safely
- Perform other tasks as needed in support of manufacturing operations, customers and suppliers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES:
- High School Diploma required.
- Trade certificate in machine/ facility maintenance and repair, including machining, electrical, motor controls, plumbing, HVAC and welding. Equivalent experience may be substituted.
- Minimum of five years experience in a manufacturing environment performing machine maintenance and repair.
- Familiar with the function and operation of a variety of manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e.; cold heading, rolling, drilling, pointing and facility support.)
- Ability to read equipment and component drawings and schematics.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- PC Literate; Lift up to 35 lbs
SPECIAL SKILLS/TRAINING:
- Complete Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures training for self and staff. Accountable for administration of all programs, audits, and corrective action plans associated with the department.
- TS Quality Systems Administration and ISO Environmental Management Standards.
- Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) System.
- Certification of mobile equipment operation
