Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Buyer with a strong background in government contracting and GWAC (Government-Wide Acquisition Contracts) purchasing. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of federal procurement processes, contract compliance, and invoicing procedures. This role requires attention to detail, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to work cross-functionally to support purchasing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities in compliance with federal regulations and company policies
- Execute purchases through GWACs and other government contract vehicles
- Review and interpret contract terms, pricing structures, and compliance requirements
- Coordinate with vendors, contracting officers, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and invoices
- Monitor contract performance and maintain proper documentation for audits
- Resolve discrepancies related to orders, deliveries, and invoicing
- Support reporting and tracking of government procurement activities
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of purchasing/procurement experience, preferably in government contracting
- Hands-on experience with GWACs (e.g., GSA, SEWP, ITES, ADMC-3 etc.)
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) and compliance requirements
- Experience with invoicing processes related to government contracts
- Proficiency in ERP systems and procurement tools
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with multiple government contract vehicles
- Knowledge of audit requirements and documentation standards
- Background in supply chain, finance, or related field
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
