<Job Summary>
We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at The UPS Store. In this role, you will assist customers with shipping, packaging, printing, notary, and mailbox services while providing excellent service in a fast-paced environment. You’ll handle in-store transactions, promote our products and services, and ensure customers have a positive experience from start to finish. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working with people.
<Responsibilities>
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service to meet their needs
- Conduct product demonstrations to highlight features and benefits, encouraging customer engagement
- Assist customers with product selection, upselling relevant items to enhance their purchase experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring the sales floor is clean and inviting
- Apply retail math skills for accurate cash register balancing and inventory management
- Use phone etiquette to answer inquiries professionally and direct customers appropriately
- Support inventory management through stocking, merchandising, and inventory counts
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve sales goals and improve store operations
<Qualifications>
- Previous retail sales experience preferred; supervisory experience is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays effectively
- Experience conducting product demos and upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or experience in a similar retail environment is advantageous
- Demonstrated phone etiquette for professional customer interactions
- Ability to handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations confidently
