Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, local electrical codes, and industry regulations. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring compliance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association standards) and NEC (National Electrical Code).
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute wiring and system installations.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system work with precision and safety awareness.
- Diagnose electrical issues using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot complex electrical systems efficiently.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components to support industrial processes.
- Follow electrical safety procedures rigorously to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment effectively on various job sites including renovation projects and new construction sites.
- Adhere to local electrical codes and regulations while completing all wiring tasks, ensuring quality workmanship that meets industry standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and team members to complete projects on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance, NEC standards, electrical diagnostics, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical wiring, industrial electrical systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and circuit troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with local electrical codes and safety procedures essential for safe operations on construction sites or renovation projects.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments including construction sites or industrial facilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues efficiently using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Valid electrician license or certification as required by local jurisdiction; additional handyman or frame carpentry experience is a plus.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
