Doral Colorado is seeking highly qualified candidates for the position of Elementary School Teacher to join our team for the 2026-27 school year.

Required Skills and Qualifications
- An earned Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree from an accredited institution.
- A teacher must hold at least one of the following in the subject area in which they have been assigned to teach in order to be considered in-field: (1) Endorsement on a Colorado teaching license; (2) Degree (B.A. or higher); (3) 36 semester credit hours; or (4) Passing score on a State Board of Education approved content exam (currently the ETS Praxis Series)
- Qualified Teacher status can be completed within six weeks of starting through one of the following: 1) A valid Colorado Teacher License; 2) Passing score on the PLACE or PRAXIS II exam; or 3) 3 semester credits in Elementary Education (or degree).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Elementary Students
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood development or education
- Teaching certification(s)
- A minimum of two (2) years working in a school environment.
- A love of English Content Education
- Prior experience, exposure to, training in and appreciation of the Arts and the Arts Integration Curriculum is preferred
Essential Performance Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Doral Colorado’s Arts Integration education program.
- Develop and implement a system for student assessments.
- Assess, monitor and communicate student academic progress in core subjects.
- Maintain complete and accurate student academic and disciplinary records.
- Timely communication of standards, achievements and areas of growth or need to students, parents, and administrators.
- Maintain a safe and orderly classroom.
- Create a positive student learning environment.
- Cooperatively work with students, specialists, parents and administration in the development and implementation of individualized education plans, independent or small group study programs, and RTI plans.
- Model respect, personal responsibility, competence and honesty in every aspect of the job.
- Assist administration in implementing all policies and rules governing student activities and conduct.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance job knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- Outstanding communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with students of all ages and skill levels, families, and other external stakeholders as necessary.
- Strong organization skills, ability to multi-task, and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be professional and dependable, maintaining professional work behavior at all times.
- Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance in connection with the preparation and organization of the classroom and the assistance of children, including any potential emergency situations.
- Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to maintain physical and visual contact with children and see and hear well enough to keep children safe.
- Physical aspects will include, but are not limited to, walking, sitting, bending and stooping. Must maintain all required professional licensures and certifications and attend any required trainings as directed by the Principal.
- CPR and First Aid certification is required. This can be completed during staff PD.
