Counter Sales Associate / Key Holder

Position Summary
NAPA Auto Parts is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Counter Sales Associate / Key Holder to join our team.
This position combines automotive parts sales and customer service with additional responsibility for helping open and close the store. We're looking for someone who takes ownership, works well with a team, and can be trusted to keep things running when management is not present.
Responsibilities
- Assist retail and commercial customers at the counter and over the phone
- Look up and recommend the correct automotive parts and products
- Ask the right questions and help customers get everything needed to complete the job
- Process sales, returns, warranties, and core transactions accurately
- Provide fast, friendly, and knowledgeable customer service
- Answer phones promptly and professionally
- Stock merchandise and maintain a clean, organized store
- Help receive and put away incoming freight
- Maintain accurate cash handling and register procedures
- Open and/or close the store when scheduled
- Complete opening and closing procedures, including securing the building and registers
- Help keep the team productive and customers taken care of when management is not present
- Follow company policies, safety procedures, and store standards
What We're Looking For
- Automotive parts knowledge or previous parts experience is preferred
- Retail or customer service experience is a plus
- Dependable and able to work independently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable using computers and learning electronic parts catalogs
- Ability to handle multiple customers and tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Good attendance and punctuality
- Must be responsible and trustworthy due to key-holder and cash-handling responsibilities
- Ability to lift and move automotive parts and merchandise as needed
- Valid driver's license preferred
