Job Summary
Join our family team as an IHSS (In-Home Supportive Services) Caregiver, where your dedication and skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of senior participants requiring assistance with daily activities. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs and overall condition; report changes promptly
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support clients with medication management and administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations
- Use specialized equipment (I.e mobility assist devices)
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through light housekeeping, laundry, and sanitation tasks
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with established protocols and report back to responsible party
Requirements
- Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, hospice care, or working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous
- Certifications such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), First Aid, and HIPAA compliance are required or highly recommended
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfer and mobility support
- Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting; excellent communication abilities for effective teamwork
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are often necessary for community-based assignments
- Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care
- Round the clock care needed.
