Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Field Service Technicians to join our Industrial Service Team, with a specific focus on the Datacenter and Critical Infrastructure sector. This role is centered on the maintenance and repair of large-scale power systems, specifically high-output units ranging from 2MW to 3.5MW.
Operating within a datacenter environment requires a specialized mindset. The ideal candidate must pair elite technical expertise in electrical and instrumentation systems with an uncompromising level of professionalism. You will be working in high-stakes environments where downtime is not an option; therefore, strict adherence to method of procedure protocols, impeccable site etiquette, and a "first-time right" approach are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Mission-Critical Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on large-scale industrial generators ($2MW - 3.5MW$) and associated switchgear.
- Instrumentation & Controls: Troubleshoot and calibrate complex electrical control systems, PLCs, and instrumentation specific to datacenter power arrays.
- Datacenter Protocol: Execute work with total adherence to facility-specific safety and operational protocols, including rigorous MOP and SOP compliance.
- Advanced Testing: Lead load bank testing and system functional testing to ensure 100% reliability of backup power systems.
- Professional Communication: Provide clear, technical debriefs to facility managers and internal engineers, maintaining the high standard of conduct expected in Tier III and IV datacenter environments.
- Emergency Response: Participate in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule, responding with urgency to critical power failures.
- Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of service reports, sensor calibrations, and system parameters to meet strict audit requirements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience servicing large-scale industrial power systems; specific experience with 2MW+ units and datacenter environments is highly preferred.
- Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, and instrumentation. Familiarity with paralleling switchgear and high-voltage configurations a bonus.
- Professionalism: Exceptional "soft skills" and a polished demeanor; the ability to represent the company effectively in high-security, high-pressure environments.
- Precision & Detail: A disciplined approach to following complex technical manuals and site-specific procedures without deviation.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel across the Bay Area/Central Valley for on-site service.
- Physical Ability: Capable of navigating industrial settings and lifting up to 50 lbs. (occasionally up to 100 lbs.).

Work Location:
This is a field-based role centered on critical infrastructure sites. You will split your time between:
- Field Sites: Intensive on-site work at datacenters and industrial hubs within a 90-mile radius of Reno, NV.
- Office/Shop: Periodic reporting to our headquarters in Tracy, CA for training and equipment management.
- On-Call: Rotating emergency response for mission-critical outages.
