Duties
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with production schedules and demand planning to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate supplier performance to secure quality goods at competitive prices.
- Oversee inventory management systems such as SAP, Oracle EBS, or other ERP platforms to maintain accurate stock levels and streamline procurement workflows.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, and ensure effective management for 9 direct reports.
Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for procurement and inventory management.
- Hands on and involved leadership style
- Experience with manufacturing company operations, including production scheduling and lean manufacturing practices.
- Excellent supplier management skills with a proven track record in negotiating contracts and managing vendor performance.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems, MRP (Material Requirements Planning), and production planning tools.
- Effective cross-functional communication skills to collaborate seamlessly across departments such as manufacturing, logistics, procurement, and quality assurance.
