About the Opportunity
ServCorp (SCx) is seeking an experienced Property Custodial Officer II (PCO II) / Material Control Specialist to support Federal property and inventory management operations in Bethesda, Maryland.
This position is suited for an experienced property-management professional with a background in Government asset accountability, inventory management, property lifecycle support, record maintenance, and reconciliation.
The successful candidate will work independently in a professional Federal environment and support the accurate accountability and management of Government personal property throughout its lifecycle.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate Government property and inventory records.
- Support property receipt, identification, accountability, transfer, and disposition activities.
- Conduct and support physical inventories.
- Research and reconcile property and inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain audit-ready property documentation and transaction records.
- Process property-management transactions and supporting documentation.
- Support asset location, custody, and ownership updates.
- Assist with property transfers, loans, repairs, trade-ins, excess, reutilization, and disposal activities.
- Research applicable property-management policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets, correspondence, and related documentation.
- Coordinate professionally with Government personnel, property custodians, users, supervisors, and management.
- Perform additional property and material-control responsibilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or an appropriate combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- At least 2 years of relevant property, inventory, logistics, supply, or material-control experience.
- Demonstrated experience with property accountability and/or inventory management.
- Strong inventory research and reconciliation capabilities.
- Advanced computer and research skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to satisfy applicable Government background, facility-access, training, and system-access requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Federal Government property-management experience.
- Government personal-property accountability experience.
- Experience with Federal asset/property-management systems.
- Experience conducting annual physical inventories.
- Experience with inventory reconciliation and discrepancy resolution.
- Experience with property transfers, loans, repairs, trade-ins, excess, reutilization, or disposal.
- Experience managing sensitive or high-value property.
- Experience supporting scientific, medical, laboratory, or research environments.
- Familiarity with Federal property-management policies and procedures.

Government Access Requirements
This position supports a Federal Government customer and may require Government background screening, facility access, training, and system access.
Selected personnel must satisfy all applicable access and screening requirements prior to beginning work.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
