Summary:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The Depot Station Manager is a hands on leader responsible for the overall performance of the Bristol, CT depot, including all routes operating out of that location. This role owns day to day depot operations while working directly with the customer to ensure routes are covered, executed, and completed within the required timeframes, and that the depot consistently meets its key performance indicators (KPIs). The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Responsibilities:

- Oversee all daily operations of the Bristol, CT depot, including staffing, dispatch, and route execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the customer regarding day to day depot operations, maintaining a strong working relationship built on clear and consistent communication.
- Collaborate closely with the customer to ensure all routes are covered, executed, and completed within the correct timeframes.
- Monitor and manage depot performance against all customer and company KPIs, proactively identifying and correcting gaps.
- Recruit, coach, train, and schedule delivery drivers and depot staff, ensuring all safety measures are maintained.
- Optimize daily dispatch routes, implementing strategies for optimal route coverage and on time performance.
- Meet and exceed current and future metrics as prescribed by the customer and by ABC/Package Express.
- Organize, track, and coordinate maintenance and image compliance of the depot's fleet of vehicles, including fuel management and insurance/accident reporting.
- Correspond with drivers and depot staff, offering motivation and support via electronic messaging and telephone.
- Address performance issues and maintain accurate reports for both the customer and the Regional Manager.
- Development and oversight of dispatchers and lead drivers at the depot.
- Exhibit sound business judgment in all decisions.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, high stress environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Driver's License.
- Reliable mode of transportation.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Pass drug, alcohol screening test, background, and MVR verification and screening.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or management role within logistics, courier, or last mile delivery operations preferred.
- Strong data utilization skills; competency with cloud based applications (SAAS), routing and mapping tools, Excel, Word, email, and messaging.
- Comfort working directly with customer contacts and representing ABC/Package Express professionally.
- Proficiency working with a diverse staff with varied skills and cultural backgrounds.
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
