DERRICK RIG OPERATOR

Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks to support drilling and construction activities on oil rigs and pipeline sites
- Assist with rigging procedures to set up and secure equipment for safe operation
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery to identify maintenance needs and prevent breakdowns
- Support horizontal drilling operations by managing equipment positioning and alignment
- Follow OSHA safety standards diligently, ensuring compliance with all safety protocols on-site
- Coordinate with team members to execute complex tasks like lifting, moving, and installing large components
- Maintain detailed logs of equipment usage, maintenance activities, and operational incidents
Requirements
- Proven experience working on oil rigs or construction sites involving heavy equipment operation
- Mechanical knowledge related to oil & gas industry machinery and pipeline systems
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and best practices for construction site safety
- Hands-on experience with rigging, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tanker trucks
- Knowledge of horizontal drilling techniques and equipment handling
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for operating tanker or large transport vehicles
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments withstanding outdoor conditions for extended periods

Pay: $24.61 - $29.64 per hour
