Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, surfaces, restrooms, and common areas using appropriate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers.
- Handle chemical agents safely by following proper procedures for storage, mixing, and disposal to ensure a secure environment.
- Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, window washing, and trash removal across multiple facility types.
- Operate cleaning machinery like industrial vacuums with attention to safety protocols and efficiency.
- Follow strict safety guidelines related to manual handling, heavy lifting practices, chemical handling safety procedures, and equipment use to prevent accidents.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally.
Qualifications
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques including floor care, sanitation standards, and the operation of cleaning equipment.
- Familiarity with chemical handling safety procedures and proper use of cleaning agents.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills for maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and respond effectively to facility needs.
- Experience in facilities maintenance is a plus but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation, you are responsible for getting to and from each job site.
