Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of commercial construction projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical work complies with safety standards, building codes, and industry best practices. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from renovations to new construction, utilizing your technical skills and hands-on experience to deliver top-quality electrical solutions.
Duties
- Read plans and specifications to identify routing of EMT and PVC conduits.
- Install EMT, PVC, RGC, and other types of conduit as required.
- The ability to properly bend EMT is required.
- Pull and assist with pulling of conductors through raceways.
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and systems in commercial buildings using hand tools and power tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical schematics to accurately execute project plans
- Work with low voltage and high voltage electrical systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Utilize testing equipment such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues effectively
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate electrical installations during renovation and new build projects
- Maintain safety protocols on construction sites, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety regulations
- Assist with the setup and programming of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for industrial automation when required
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in new construction
- Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams accurately
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices
- Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems along with NEC compliance standards
- Familiarity with construction site procedures, renovation projects, and framing carpentry basics
- Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using schematics and technical manuals
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems is highly desirable but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent attention to detail
- A minimum of 3 years field experience is required

Pay: $21.00 - $26.00 per hour
