Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems across diverse equipment types.
- Fabricate parts or modifications using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to ensure proper fitment and function.
- Execute routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to prolong equipment lifespan and improve safety standards.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems involving hydraulics, alignment issues, HVAC systems on industrial equipment, tire service, brake repair, and general assembly tasks.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and OEM specifications to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Support heavy lifting operations safely while performing repairs or replacements of large components; ensure all work complies with safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding repair status and recommendations.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery.
- Dealership experience or background working with OEM parts and specifications is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC systems on industrial equipment, and tire service.
- Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, assembly of mechanical parts using power tools and hand tools.
- Familiarity with schematics reading for troubleshooting complex machinery issues.
- Experience in automotive diagnostics related to heavy-duty vehicles or industrial equipment is advantageous.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
