About the Role
Technoflo is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to support our manufacturing operations in Porterville, CA. This position plays a key role in day-to-day accounting operations, helping maintain accurate financial records, support reporting activities, and contribute to smooth business operations. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience across core accounting functions, manufacturing experience and is driven to grow and progress their career. This role reports directly to the General Manager and partners closely with plant operations, supply chain, sales, and the finance team to ensure accurate cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting. This role also works with customer and sales data within our CRM to support billing, collections, and revenue-related reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Solid understanding and ability to perform general ledger activities, month-end close procedures including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Maintain standard costing and analyze production variances (labor, material, overhead)
- Reconcile inventory accounts and support cycle count/physical inventory processes
- Assist with fixed asset tracking and depreciation schedules
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support audit requests
- Analyze manufacturing overhead allocation and cost of goods sold
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and margin analysis for plant leadership
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Collaborate with operations on cost improvement initiatives
- Provide regular financial reporting and analysis directly to the General Manager
- Partner with the sales team on billing, collections, and revenue reporting using customer data in the CRM
- Familiarity with tax-related accounting responsibilities, including state and sales tax support.
- Participate in additional projects and operational assignments that support departmental priorities and broader business objectives.
- Evaluate existing accounting procedures and recommend more efficient approaches to strengthen reporting accuracy and workflow effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of standard costing and inventory accounting
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Epicor, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables, lookup formulas, structured tables, and nested formulas
- MS Office and CRM proficiency (e.g., Goldmine, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) for accessing customer/sales data related to billing and collections
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders
- CPA or progress toward certification a plus

Pay Transparency:
We are committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices. The compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $100,000 per year, depending on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
In addition to base compensation, this role includes a comprehensive benefit package which may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
