Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Norcross facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership in ITAD, electronics processing, warehousing, and compliance. This is a hands-on role responsible for driving operational excellence, team performance, safety, and profitability through efficient processing, grading, remarketing preparation, and logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all facility operations including receiving, inventory management, data destruction, grading/refurbishment, packing, shipping, and recycling processes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technicians, logistics, and processing staff (currently 15–25 team members, with growth planned).
- Ensure strict compliance with R2v3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & NIST SP 800-88, chain-of-custody protocols, and all federal, state, and local regulations.
- Maximize asset recovery value through optimized grading, testing, and preparation for resale channels.
- Manage logistics, including inbound/outbound shipments, customer pickups, and coordination with downstream partners.
- Implement and maintain Lean/5S processes to improve efficiency, safety, and throughput.
- Monitor key performance metrics (throughput, recovery rates, cycle time, safety, quality) and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee facility maintenance, equipment upkeep (including shredders and sanitization tools), and inventory accuracy.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and executive leadership on forecasting, capacity planning, and customer deliverables.
- Prepare and deliver operational reports, Certificates of Destruction, and client reporting.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of progressive operations leadership experience in ITAD, electronics recycling, e-waste, reverse logistics, or asset disposition.
- Strong working knowledge of R2v3, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & NIST SP 800-88, data sanitization methods, and electronics remarketing.
- Proven track record managing warehouse/facility teams of 10+ employees.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, Six Sigma) preferred.
- Familiarity with IT hardware (servers, laptops, desktops, networking gear, mobile devices) and secondary market valuation.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient with inventory/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field preferred.
