Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate, dedicated Christian educator to teach a combined 5th- 7th grade classroom using Ignitia Vitual Academy curriculum. The ideal candidate will love young children, integrate faith into all aspects of learning, and provide a structured yet nurturing environment where students can thrive academically and spiritually.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach subjects in Bible, ELA, History and Science using Ignitia and/or Abeka materials
- Be able to fully teach Math (all Math levels up to 12th grade)
- Create a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered classroom environment
- Foster a love for learning and biblical truth in all subject areas
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress
- Maintain classroom management with grace and consistency
- Prepare and organize instructional materials and lesson plans
- Assess student performance and provide individualized support
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development
Qualifications
- A clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ
- Agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and mission
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred, not required)
- Teaching experience, especially with elementary students (a must)
- Familiarity with or willingness to be trained in the Ignitia/Abeka curriculum
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills
- Passion for Christian education and discipleship
