After School Enrichment Program is a growing non-profit that believes in the greater community and the power of youth development. We are in search for passionate and charismatic Program Leader that wants to make a REAL difference in the lives of children.
Duties of a Program Leader
- Be highly alert, focused and take proactive, preventative measures to keep all students safe
- Plan and implement theme‑based lesson plans that support enrichment, creativity, and age‑appropriate learning
- Develop and maintain positive teacher-students and peer relationships
- Generate and implement classroom management procedures for all activities and transitions
- Use classroom management strategies such as attention getters, proximity and directness, and praise in public and criticize in private
- Be an active participant in group, staff and professional development meetings and provide innovative ideas to the organization
- Take initiative to complete tasks such as (but not limited to)
- Organizing and maintaining group supplies and storage areas
- Conducting accurate daily attendance and monitoring sign‑in sheets
- Addressing behavior concerns in the classroom and on the yard
- Maintain day-school classrooms clean, organized and adhere to classroom rules set by day-school
- Communicate, with a respectful and positive attitude, with ASEP Team, Parents/Guardians, Day-School Staff and other Community members
- Proactively grasp and communicate concerns to the appropriate party

Minimum Qualifications
- Ideal candidates have a background in education with an A.A or A.S or at least 48 education units.
- Practical experience working with children in group or educational settings, whether through child‑care employment, school programs, internships, or volunteer work
- Interest in working with children and supporting their development
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to engage with children in a positive, caring, and developmentally appropriate manner.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Fingerprint and Department of Justice clearance
- TB clearance

MANDATORY -- Staff Professional Development Week - August 10-14
First day of 26-27 Academic Year - August 17
McKinley Elementary School
Monday 1:30pm-6:00pm (staff meeting)
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 2:00pm-6:00pm
Wednesdays 12:50pm-6:00pm
ASEP follows the SFUSD school calendar which includes time off for Spring Break, Winter Break, and Summer etc.
Additionally, a paid hour of planning and half an hour of professional development training every week.
Daniel Webster Elementary School
Monday 1:30pm-6:00pm (staff meeting)
Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 1:50pm-6:00pm
Wednesdays 12:30pm-6:00pm
