Camp White Stag is seeking an Aftercare Director for Summer 2026. This is a seasonal, very part-time position ideal for someone who enjoys working with children in a structured, active environment.
The Aftercare Director is responsible for running our aftercare program each afternoon from 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday. During regular camp hours, the Aftercare Director may also assist with a camper group led by a Head Counselor.
Responsibilities include:
- Supervising campers ages 4–12
- Planning and leading engaging aftercare activities
- Creating a safe, positive, and organized environment
- Managing camper behavior appropriately and professionally
- Communicating effectively with camp leadership and staff
- Supervising and working alongside Junior Counselors assigned to assist during aftercare hours
Our aftercare program is intentionally smaller in size, typically serving between 6–15 campers daily. Junior Counselors are available to assist the Aftercare Director each day from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM.
We are looking for applicants who are:
- Patient and dependable
- Energetic and engaging with children
- Creative and able to lead activities independently
- Comfortable taking initiative and managing a group
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to reliably commute to camp each day
- Camp White Stag does not provide on-site staff housing
Camp White Stag operates from June 22, 2026 through August 28, 2026. Some scheduling flexibility may be available throughout the summer season.
Applicants with prior childcare, camp, education, recreation, or youth leadership experience are encouraged to apply.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
