We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with daily living activities, and ensuring the comfort and safety of patients. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, particularly those with dementia or disabilities.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Document patient care activities accurately in electronic health records systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to implement care plans and communicate any changes in patient conditions.
- Assist in emergency situations by applying emergency medicine techniques as needed.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience in patient care or nursing assistance is preferred.
- Knowledge of physiology and basic medical terminology is essential.
- Familiarity with hospice care practices is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
- Understanding of dementia care principles is beneficial.
