Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tow Truck Operator to join our team. This role involves safely and efficiently towing vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the tow truck and related equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and driving experience with tow trucks. Duties
- PPI impounds
- Operate wheel lift trucks to recover and transport vehicles safely.
- Perform basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best towing approach.
- Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients professionally during stressful situations.
- Manage conflict resolution effectively when dealing with difficult or upset customers.
- Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and safety compliance.
- Maintain accurate records of all towing activities, including vehicle details and locations.
- Follow all safety protocols during vehicle recovery operations to prevent accidents or injuries.
Qualifications
- Prior PPI experience required
- Prior experience operating self-loader tow trucks is required.
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, diagnostics, and manual transmissions is advantageous.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics, automotive repair, or mechanic work is a plus.
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques to handle customer interactions professionally.
- Valid TDLR IM license with driving experience in various conditions.
- This position requires a dedicated individual with strong driving skills, mechanical aptitude, and excellent customer service abilities to ensure efficient vehicle recovery operations while maintaining safety standards at all times.
