Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Employment Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping individuals with ID, autism, or mental health concerns find meaningful employment opportunities and possess a strong background in training and job development.
Responsibilities
The Employment Specialist (DSP) is responsible for providing Community Integrated Employment and employment related services to individuals with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health and/or Physical Disabilities. As such, the Employment Specialist is responsible for providing direct and indirect services in a variety of community settings for the purpose of supporting an individual in obtaining and sustaining competitive integrated employment.
The position requires flexibility, reliable transportation and the ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse population.
Knowledge of Technology.
Qualifications
-Applicant must possess a four-year degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation or comparable Human Service Field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Teaching experience helpful)
