Insight Guidance Group is seeking a Mental Health Specialist to join our team!
A Mental Health Specialist provides Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) services to children and adults with mental or behavioral health needs servicing the Medicaid population. PSR providers work directly one on one with clients in the home and community to help build practical skills, strengthen coping strategies, improve daily functioning, and support progress toward treatment goals. This may include helping clients with emotional regulation, mindfulness, communication, problem-solving, social skills, community integration, and managing symptoms in real-life settings.
This position requires compassion, reliability, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet clients where they are while supporting their continued growth and independence.
Previous experience in behavioral health, social services, education, childcare, case management, or a related helping field is preferred but not required.
This is a field work, billable hours positionperforming services in person, in the home or community and you must live in Lafayette or the surrounding areas. You must be able to commit to at least 5 days of training prior to conducting services.
Qualifications REQUIRED:
A bachelor's/master's in the following fields:
