ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a motivated Bridge Engineer to join our Transportation Division. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to grow within a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working on meaningful bridge projects for public and private clients.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the design and development of bridge projects including superstructures, substructures, and retaining walls
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations under the direction of a senior engineer
- Assist in the preparation of construction plans, specifications, and estimates
- Support QA/QC reviews of design documents
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across multiple office locations
- Develop professionally through mentorship from experienced engineers
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- BS or MS from an ABET accredited university in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 0–5 years of applicable bridge engineering experience
- Ability to acquire EIT certification; EIT/PE licensure in WV or OH strongly encouraged and supported
- Experience or coursework in bridge design including AASHTO LRFD
- Proficiency or willingness to learn OpenRoads and MicroStation
- Familiarity with bridge design software for structural components
- Knowledge of or exposure to WVDOH or ODOT standards a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
