Overview
We are seeking a professional, alert, and highly disciplined Armed Security Officer to join our elite protection team. This assignment involves safeguarding a private, high-traffic athletic and events facility that frequently hosts professional athletes, VIP guests, and major community events.
The position requires a clean-cut, physically capable, and well-spoken individual who can provide a strong security presence while maintaining discretion and professionalism. The officer will be responsible for armed security coverage, including facility patrol, guest screening, and VIP escort duties, while ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide armed protection for guests, staff, and property throughout the facility.
- Conduct ticket and access control duties at designated entry points.
- Escort VIP guests, professional athletes, and high-profile individuals safely to and from secured areas.
- Monitor and patrol assigned zones to deter unauthorized entry and suspicious behavior.
- Operate and monitor surveillance systems and alarm panels.
- Maintain high visibility and situational awareness while blending into the professional environment.
- De-escalate potential conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Respond immediately to emergencies, including medical or safety incidents, providing aid until additional help arrives.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with management and local law enforcement when necessary.
- Write accurate incident and activity reports in a timely manner.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Active BSIS Guard Card (Required)
- Active BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit (Required)
- Minimum 2 years of armed security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
- Must be proficient in firearm safety, handling, and judgment under pressure.
- Excellent verbal communication and report writing skills.
- Professional, clean appearance and demeanor.
- Strong situational awareness and ability to adapt in dynamic environments.
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred).
- Must have reliable transportation and be consistently punctual.
- Ability to remain discreet when working in environments involving high-profile clients.
