Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver appliances, HVAC equipment, and other heavy items to residential or commercial locations.
- Assist with loading and unloading deliveries, ensuring items are handled carefully and securely.
- Follow detailed delivery routes using schematics and GPS tools to optimize efficiency.
- Perform basic appliance repair, electrical troubleshooting, or assembly on-site as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct routine inspections of delivered equipment, including refrigeration and HVAC units, to verify proper operation.
- Communicate professionally with customers during deliveries, answering questions and providing product guidance.
- Assist with equipment repair or field service tasks that require mechanical knowledge or electrical experience.
Qualifications
- Prior delivery driver experience with a clean driving record and familiarity with box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliance repair, refrigeration systems, HVAC units, or electrical components.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Customer service skills with a friendly attitude and clear communication abilities.
- Basic assembly skills for setting up appliances or equipment at customer sites.
- Experience in field service or as a service technician is highly desirable.
