Job Overview
Set up and operate machine tools. Understand the fabricating processes from specifications such as noted in blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualize product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts. Assure the timely completion of a quality product and meet quality standards and customer specification. Broaden and expand your knowledge by learning from highly experienced individuals and participating in challenging assignments.
Responsibilities:
· Works with CNC controlled machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, drill presses,
grinders; welding equipment; precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers and hand tools.
· Ability to analyze sketches, blueprints and oral instructions to set up or program the computer responsible for the machinery to make sure the final product matches the draft.
· Problem solving skills in order to detect issues in the creation process and find solutions to ensure machinery creates the product provided in draft.
· Grind, ream, etc., surfaces and holes to prescribed tolerances.
· Strong math skills for inputting specific dimensions and figures into CNC machinery, to calculate tolerances, angles, tapers, etc.
· Understanding of how the machine works to maintain the machinery, performs general maintenance tasks on equipment within the shop and in the operations.
· Comply with safety policy and OSHA standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Minimum of two years of directly relevant CNC machining experience
· Flexibility to assist other departments Paint, Assembly, Welding is a must.
· Must be able to meet deadlines
· Knowledge of various metals, plastics and their machinability.
· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize
· Requires the ability to work cooperatively and productively with others
Education and/or Experience:
· 2-year Technical Degree preferred
· Fusion 360 CAM
· Machining experience preferred
· Forklift Experience preferred
Mental and Physical Requirements:
· While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to hold or feel, reach with hands and arms, walk, talk, smell and hear. The employee will be required to stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, crouch and crawl. Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception. The employee regularly lifts and/or moves up to 50 pounds.

This is a first shift position, working eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday. Pay is dependent upon experience.
