American Traveler is seeking an experienced travel RN for an Emergency Center position requiring 5+ years of ED experience, MEDITECH proficiency, and a full set of emergency certifications including TNCC.

Acute care hospital Emergency Center (ER) setting
-
High-volume department seeing approximately 180–200 patient visits per day
-
Patient population spans pediatrics to geriatrics, including trauma, CVA, neuro, and ortho cases; facility is a CVA center
-
Includes a 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psych, with safety sitters available for behavioral patients
-
Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4

Supported by 5–6 nurse aides/paramedics per shift, central monitoring techs, 24/7 on-site respiratory therapy dedicated to the ER, and in-department pharmacy coverage 11 hours/day with 24/7 on-campus availability

Nurses are responsible for their own lab draws and IV starts
-
Ventilated patients are held in the ER until admitted, managed by 24/7 respiratory therapists

EMR: MEDITECH 6.15 (experience required)

Evening shift, 12-hour shifts from 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Every other weekend required

Every other holiday required

Active GA RN license or a Compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS (or ASLS), and CPI
-
Minimum 5 years of ED/ER nursing experience required

At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required

MEDITECH EMR experience required

Driver's license must be submitted for consideration

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible for placement

Candidates who have been employed by the facility within the last 12 months are not eligible

Orientation consists of 2 floor-specific shifts and must be completed within the first week of the assignment; rollover to the following week requires prior approval from EC leadership

Every other holiday coverage is expected

Required scrub color: Caribbean Blue only
