American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring trauma experience and a compact or Oklahoma RN license.

Adult Emergency Department setting within a hospital
-
Trauma and travel required within the department
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)

Cares for a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex
-
Active RN license issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing or a current multistate compact RN license (eNLC)

Current BLS and ACLS certifications issued by the American Heart Association
-
Minimum of one year of RN experience required

Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program required; BSN preferred
-
Strong knowledge of nursing theories, practices, and techniques
-
Effective communication skills and ability to work well with other staff
-
Ability to respond to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors
-
Provides direct nursing care to an assigned group of ED patients
-
Assists physicians with examinations, minor diagnostic procedures, and treatments
-
Administers medications and manages IV infusions and blood products
-
Documents patient responses and communicates changes in care plans to families
-
Delegates tasks to support staff as needed

Facility maintains strict compliance deadlines; onboarding documents must be completed promptly

Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible
-
Extensions limited to one time for a total of 26 weeks; a 6-month separation is required before reapplying after reaching this limit
