Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide exceptional care and assistance to my son who is 24 years old. In this vital role, you will support him with daily activities, promote independence, and foster a safe and nurturing environment. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help enhance the quality of life for him, ensuring he feels valued, respected, and empowered every day. Must have a valid NYS drivers license.......... MUST!! have 3 references...MUST have own transportation! THIS IS A PART TIME JOB ....... Monday -Thursday 4 PM- 8 Pm only This will be through an agency Pay will start at $24 an hour
Responsibilities
- Assist him with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming,
- Support medication administration in accordance with care plans, ensuring proper documentation while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks tailored to individual dietary needs, supporting overall health and well-being.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by helping him performing regular cleaning duties, laundry, and household chores in accordance with health standards.
- Engage him in social activities, recreational programs, and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
- prior expeirience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques working with individuals with developmental disabilities . preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with him and his family families, healthcare professionals, and team members.
