Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a variety of settings, including commercial, industrial, and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure all electrical work complies with local electrical codes, NFPA 70 standards (National Electrical Code), and safety procedures. Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to accurately execute wiring layouts.
- Perform high-voltage electrical wiring and low-voltage system installations in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Work on construction sites involving renovation or new builds, ensuring all work adheres to local electrical codes and safety procedures.
- Install programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other industrial control systems to support automation processes.
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification with proven experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, blueprints reading, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, and electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code), NEC standards, and local electrical codes for safe installation practices.
- Experience working on construction sites involving renovation projects or new builds; construction experience is highly valued.
- Ability to work safely following electrical safety procedures while handling power tools and high-voltage equipment.
- Strong skills in using hand tools such as wire strippers, screwdrivers, pliers, as well as power tools required for installation tasks.
- Knowledge of schematics and blueprint reading for complex electrical systems including industrial automation controls like PLCs.
- Additional skills in frame carpentry or handyman experience are a plus for versatile project support.

Pay: $33.56 - $40.00 per hour
