Inspector, Receiving - 18508
Description
Responsible for inspecting incoming material including all receiving for the repair station. Responsible for working in a safe manner eliminating waste and delivering a quality product on time. Expected to perform work within the Company, FAA, and customer standards of quality.
What you will be responsible for:

Perform inspections only on articles properly trained and qualified on.

Set-up/calibrate equipment and interpret/evaluate results with respect to applicable standards and specifications.

Be constantly aware of aircraft delivery requirements to ensure aircraft are delivered in a timely manner but not jeopardizing quality or airworthiness requirements.

Inspect aircraft and components for safety, workmanship, and serviceability.

Perform receiving inspection requirements for new and continued service parts for serviceability.

Monitor daily deliveries to accept or reject shipments not received in satisfactory condition.

Monitor outgoing shipments for proper documentation and packaging.
-
Approve, individually, the completeness, correctness, and quality of all work performed.

Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Perform work within estimated hours.
-
Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
-
Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.

Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.

Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no rework.

Assist other employees in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance.

Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.

Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
What you need to be successful in this role:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent.
-
FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate or eligible for an FAA Repairman certificate in a discipline as determined by the FAA.

Five (5) or more years’ experience as a technician and/or Inspector on heavy transport category aircraft. (Up to four (4) years’ military experience may be applied if experience was on transport category aircraft.)

A thorough understanding of FAR 21, 43, 65, 121, 125, and 145.

Language (read, write, speak, and understand English)
Physical Requirements:

May be exposed to continual loud noises.
-
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for prolong periods of time, and climb steps, ladders, and/or service stands.

Must carry minimum of 50 lbs.
-
Normal or corrected hearing and vision are required.
-
Ability to distinguish color is required.
-
Must be able to safely work around hazardous chemicals, solvents, resins and adhesives.
-
Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator.
