Job Summary
We are seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) for our Outpatient Infusion Center. The candidate must be willing to provide at least one weekend coverage per month. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, administer IV infusions, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This role requires a strong background in nursing, competent IV access skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Administer intravenous (IV) infusions and monitor patients for adverse reactions or complications.
- Conduct patient assessments and document medical histories accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques during procedures.
- Qualifications
- Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
- Experience in outpatient settings preferred, familiarity with infusion therapy
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Athena.
- Strong clinical skills including IV insertion, medication administration, phlebotomy, and patient assessment.
- Background in critical care, emergency medicine, or hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members.
