We are seeking a Pediatrician who is driven by the belief that every child deserves high-quality care. As part of our FQHC team, you will deliver comprehensive primary care to children and adolescents in a community that depends on us every day, contribute to community pediatric programs, and help shape the growth of our pediatric services alongside a supportive clinical leadership team. Minimum Requirements:
- Maintenance of unrestricted Massachusetts medical license.
- Completion of the M.D. degree.
Completion of three years
- -graduate residency training in an accredited pediatric residency program.
- AAP Board eligibility in Pediatrics.
- Maintenance of current DEA and Massachusetts Controlled Substances registrations.
- Demonstrated ability to provide quality care in a high-volume, multicultural health Center setting.
- Qualification for staff privileges at Baystate Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center, and maintenance of such privileges during job tenure.
- Qualification as a provider for major insurers.
Desirable:
- AAP Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Fluency in Spanish, Russian, Arabic, or other language spoken by the Health Center’s patient population
- Special expertise in provision of health care to underserved, culturally diverse populations
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide clinical care to children and adolescents
- Perform scheduled on-call duties, or find coverage when unable to participate
- Perform clerical and administrative tasks needed for quality patient care.
- Participate in Health Center and community health education activities and projects.
Communications:
- Demonstrates sensitivity and responds appropriately to verbal and non-verbal communications of patients, families and co-workers.
- Maintains patient’s right to privacy, assuring dignity in the provision of care; is discreet in all communications, written or oral, about the patient’s care.
Problem Resolution:
- Consistently utilizes good judgment in the resolution of problems, clinical and non-clinical.
- Possesses the ability to act independently and is willing to make decisions utilizing good judgment.
- Has the ability to visualize and anticipate new problems and to be part of the problem-solving process.

- Utilizes tact, courtesy, patience, and discretion in dealing with others.
- Posses the ability to maintain a stable presence under stress due to pressure of the work environment.
Career Development:
- Attends and actively participates in scheduled staff meetings.
- Participates in professional staff teaching, both formal and informal.
- Maintains clinical competence through on-going medical education and training.
- Maintains courtesy privileges at local hospitals (Mercy, Baystate).
