Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including vans and commercial trucks.
Duties
- Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly during transit.
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for efficient loading and unloading processes.
- Perform routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition before each trip.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including routes taken and any issues encountered during transport.
- Follow assigned routes while being flexible to adapt to changes as necessary.
Skills
- Proficient in commercial driving with a valid driver's license.
- Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- Attention to detail for accurate record keeping and safety compliance.
